After 3 months of hard work, we are happy to release the full English translation patch of Wanko to Kurasou!!
The patch contains:
-Complete translation of all the text
-Complete translation of all menus and images
-Complete installer/patcher
*The English installer contains the patch only. You need the game in order to use the patch. If you need help buying the game, come to our IRC channel and we would gladly help you.

Love the translation. The game was very enjoyable, and I greatly appreciate the effort you put in to it. I hope to see you do more projects like this in the future (Such as Inakoi or Kisumimi; both of which I’d be willing to assist on in any way) because kemonomimi series are far too neglected. Since 2008 has been year of the mimi anime, though, maybe there would be more interest in the games… >.>

Nice release, but I have some installation issues…
I got several erer messages about corrupted data files, so I downloaded all three patch exe-s from the three links, ang guess what… Only the Megaupload one worked, but it didn’t install the font…:cry:
So in the end, after about an hour of hard work I managed to fix everything, and both the game and the translation are geat, but please, would someone look into the installer-problem? I’m fine now, but others may experienced the same problem…

I have to offer my most sincere thanks to the staff that worked in this translation project and everyone involved.
Though my list of Visual Novels is small, this became my favorite by a long shot. I never expected such a deep and emotional storyline out of an eroge, and I think it would’ve done very well even without the hentai scenes in it. I’ve virtually shed many man tears while playing this game, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt so attached to any game characters, ever. I love dogs, so it’s to be expected it’s a favorite, but this game reminded me the reason why I have them, and to enjoy their short lives to the fullest every moment I can.
I’m hoping to do a piece of artwork in celebration of this game, so I can finally part with these lovely characters.

I’m a girl, this is my first visual novel and since its and eroge…I need to play it by night when everybody is already sleeping. Unfortunately our PC are at our living room, so patience for me.
My friend recommended this game since he already completed it, without spoilers or I have killed him. ^_^ The characters are cute, specially Mikan and Kotarou. Although I would like to take care of a cat, I’m stuck with a dog…oh well.
Thanks again for the english patch. I can now enjoy what guys on our circle kept on bragging amongst themselves and enjoying by night.

FYI for Vista users. If the game does not start normally, open a video file. This forces the game to run for whatever reason. I’ve only tested it with AVI, though.

Soooo, does anyone else been able to get this game to run on Vista once it’s been patched? I’m operating on 32-bit so I thought it might work, seeing as how 32-bit has fewer compatability issues that 64-bit. Apparently I thought wrong. Will try different variations of post 79’s ‘force start with video file’ but I’m a bit iffy on whether it will work or not.

This work was finished in three months?? That is amazing.
Anyway, I’ve just finished the game and you all did a top-notch job translating it. I usually have at least a few tiny moments in any translation that seem a little awkward- that never happened in this one. Really concise and consistant translation. 
And a wonderful game. Now I really want to check out Brass Restoration. I’ll be looking forward to Rance, too. And any other games you guys consider in the future. Thanks for all your hard work.

Started playing this visual novel about a week or so ago, and was thoroughly surprised at how deep the story was. Here I was thingking…ok this is just gonna be your average hentai. Quite the contrary.
The Risa ending was also quite the tear-jerker… T_T poor Mikan.
Have not been able to figure out the correct path for the Nandeshiko ending that everyone says is available. Though I did manage to get the ending where Nandeshiko ends up with children. — Not the talked about ending is it?
The FAQ link in the forum helped to get nearly all the endings, scenes, and pictures…but its a bit hard to understand in some respects. Is there a better walkthrough? Maybe one that has details about each choice and what path they lead to or eliminate? Could one be written?

You need the game disc to install the patch since the patch we provide is only a translation patch.

I don’t think there’s a walkthrough, or not that I know of. It should be easy to beat the game since there are only two beatable characters in the game. It’s go for one or the other, pretty much.

if you go into settings when that happens and then listen to the ‘Voice Test’ in the sound section the game should start after you close the settings box, no need to change any compatability settings or run any avi’s in the background. i know this works as i had the same problem.

This is my first visual novel, courtesy of this amazing translation project and how much I heard about Wanko discussed on 4chan.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from an “eroge” and well, some parts I fast forwarded through (I know they are ‘dogs’ but let’s call it “puppycon?”) but other parts were totally hot and the story was great and it made me both rage and cry and laugh in different parts. So, great story, and I haven’t done Nadeshiko arc or the extra scenarios yet.
Thank you Yandere subs for introducing me to my first VN! Quite an eye-opener. (also taught me how to mount a virtual drive.)(I’m an “old dog” and some tricks take me a while.)
