Sengoku Rance patch ver. 0.75 (Ran route) release!
I am proud to announce our version 0.75 Sengoku Rance translation patch!!
This patch adds the Ran route translation, along with many other things translated detailed below.
This is a patch for version 1.04 of the game. (It may also work on 1.00, although we haven’t tested it on that version.) The game may also require Japanese locale to run.
Go here to download ver. 1.04 (Just copy the files in there into the folder you installed Sengoku Rance in)
The new translation patch does not translate some text in old saves (mainly names, items, commands). Please start a new game to show the updated translation.
This is an update from our 0.50 patch (found here). Please replace the 戦国ランス.ain file in your game folder with the one you download.

This patch includes:
- Translation: 75% of the whole script
- All events for the first route (true history route)
- All events for the Kenshin route
- All events for the Ran route
- Items, commander abilities
- Country commands
- Images
- All dungeon related events (except Orochi)
- Few Alicesoft staff room comments
- Some of character events and misc. events (Hara, Ashikaga, Akashi, Uesugi, Tanegashima, Houjou, Mouri, Miko, Imagawa, Asai-Asakura, Dokuganryuu house character events)
Not completed yet:
- Translation:
- Isoroku route
- Some speeches during battle
- Most Alicesoft staff room comments
- Some character events (Iga, reinforcements, Tokugawa, Takuga, Takeda, Tenshi sect, Shimazu character events)
Known issues:
- Overflowing text which goes to the fourth line and beyond.
- Chopped text
- The system automatically takes away the spaces with inserted character/country names in text. Still trying to fix this.

hrm, something’s wrong for me, when I install the new patch, some things get untranslated instead. For example, the system bar on the bottom (troops, system, prison, items etc) The GUARD bar also loses its translation and so does the Enemy Defeated words. Any ideas what’s wrong or how to fix it?

Starting a new game changes the text that you translated, but does doing a second game have the same effect?
Also, Takuga best be finished boy. You didn’t mention it in that little to-do list up there, so if that’s just your error…you ded bro.

This game is rather fappable and amusing at times – however, I also find the difficulty quite challenging. Reading the Sengoku Rance thread on Hongfire, they all make it sound like they played through the first scenario in less than 75 turns, but I already feel overpowered by massive enemy forces at this point, owning maybe 7 or 8 countries.
Anyone know of a decent guide? The one at the Wiki is somewhat lacking.

Yes, the FFA mode is glitched. You can try reloading it many times until it works, or you can wait until we release a fixed patch.
The glitch seems to be coming from a few translated country names, so we just need to untranslate them and remake a patch.

The update I’m looking forward to is the one that includes the script to most of Yamamoto Isoroku’s interactions, which seem to be mostly in japanese (and my japanese still isn’t good enough to pick up more than rance’s “gahahahaha” and a few sexual noises lol)
