Eroge Review (22) Koibito doushi de surukoto zenbu
Here is a review of Koibito doushi de surukoto zenbu (こいびとどうしですることぜんぶ), made by Sirius.
Overall score: 9/10
Genre:
Slice of life. Moe. Ero.
Plot summary:
“Go out with me, Sonowo!”
“Okay.”
My bold confession of love is rewarded in the best possible way. From today on, the girl I’ve always liked is my girlfriend.
She’s the smartest student in school history, but she’s quiet and not really social. But I can tell that she’s getting a softer attitude the more she spends time with me.
We don’t even know how to hold hands, but that’s why my heart’s pounding so fast.
“Do you want to do more?”
Classroom, hallway, school entrance, in town, in our rooms, with friends… We’re together everywhere. We fumble our way through and learn things one by one. More deeply, sweetly, strongly, carefully… Forever. Let’s do everything lovers do together with her.
*Play time: About 15 hours total.
Characters:
Sonowo Kuu: Smart, athletic, and cute. She’s quiet, and I’ll say puppylike. The ONLY heroine.
Endou Yousuke: Sincere, diligent guy. Main character.
Sera Tsukasa: Talkative female friend. Open personality.
Hawai Kouji: Good male friend.
Story: 5 (+5 slice of life)/10
There is nothing deep about the story. This is pretty much “romantic slice of life: the game”. There is no unneccesary serious stuff or drama, and nothing really happens in the game. I mean, the biggest drama in the game is probably going to look for a lost key.
The game is targeted at a specific audience, those who like sweet romance full of convenient events and slice of life. So if you like that, you would love it, but otherwise, you’d probably hate it. You will also need to like the heroine, because she is the only beatable girl in the game.
The story itself is slice of life after slice of life. There’s nothing depressing since everything conveniently works out, and everyone in the game is nice people. There’s also lots of moe. There is so much love that taking a bath together becomes a daily scene that’s nothing special. The story goes from going out -> living together -> mother/wife route. Both routes have the ultimate goal of Kuu becoming a mother/wife, and both routes are full of moe.
The bad thing about the game is that it has too many Hscenes, especially at the beginning. And the first sex was way out of place, and I wish they built up to that.
Graphics: 8/10
The graphic is good. It has a soft touch to it, which is very appropriate for this game, and I loved it. There are almost 100 pictures, with over 50% of them being ero, and all of them of Kuu ^^;
There are enough event CGs, but there wasn’t enough standup sprites. There weren’t many people with sprites, either. But I guess it’s expected since not many people in this game have a big part.
The male faces look a bit weird, but who cares about the male faces, right?
Music: 6/10
The BGMs are decent. They’re mostly soft and gentle, which goes very well with the game and its theme.
System: 8/10
The game has CG, music, and recollection mode from the title screen. From in-game, it has necessary functions such as text speed, font setting, volumes, voice on/off, effects, screen size, and you also set here if you ejaculate inside or outside during Hscenes ^^;
It also has the option to keep the voices playing after you click, which I love.
The only negative side is that it’s a bit hard to save. It takes two clicks to get to save/load screen where it should be one click.
Overall, very good.
Ero: 7/10
There’s a lot of sex scenes in the game, each of decent length. The scenes do not feel out of place (except the first one) and they’re all normal sex without anything absurd (like bondage, etc). It may get boring for some people, but it really shows their love and I liked it.
Overall: 9/10
This is a game that fully delivers on what it set out to do. This game is like wanko: if you love slice of life (with your girlfriend, not your doggies in this one), this game is for you.
Recommended for: People who love slice of life, people who are looking for normal ero, people who want a happy game, and people who just want to experience a normal fantasy life with a girlfriend.
Not recommended for: People who like depressing stories, people who want more than one heroine, people who want drama

sounds like a very sweet game.
I might consider getting it.

Is it intentional that all games you ever review here end up with an overall score of 9/10? Or do you just happen to only review good games?

^
Is it worth spending time reviewing something bad? Not to mention if something is bad would you have even finished it to be able to review it?
November 5th, 2009 at 2:34 pm 4
Exactly, only great disappointments should be reviewed for warning reasons, and even so it’s not worth the time (Why losing your time with a bad novel, when you can be already reading something good?)
About the novel, it sounds really good, novels about pure love are always welcomed, also it’s not so often you get to see a VN with events after school, like marriage or kids.

Wow, I think that’s the first time i saw TakaJun give a high score for the ero section i usually see him, give 3s, i think the highest i saw before this was a 4 or 5.
Sounds like a nice game, one of the those of eroges that more relaxing with an easygoing storyline that people like me read once in a while.
So, Taka, do you have any plans on reviewing Sengoku Rance or Majikoi?

>>do you just happen to only review good games?
Yeah, so far, I’ve only been reviewing games I really like or have been requested. That’s why you’re seeing so many games with high scores. I have less motivation to review mediocre games, but I’ll get around to them once I start running out of good games to review.
>>it’s not so often you get to see a VN with events like marriage or kids.
Sorry I didn’t make it clear, but that’s the goal of the game, meaning the end. The story only goes up to them getting married, or finding out that Kuu is pregnant.
>>any plans on reviewing Sengoku Rance or Majikoi?
Maybe Majikoi. I have been requested with Yu-No review for about 2 months now that I will need to finish first ^^;
But Sengoku Rance? Is there demand for me to review a game we translated ourselves?
November 5th, 2009 at 6:04 pm 7
@TakaJun
So there’ only 2 ends to the game then, one where they get married and one where she gets pregnant?
I guess I see your point on reviewing Sengoku Rance, I guess i j was just my assuption that the reason you never reviewed it was because you were waiting untill after its release to do so.

In a way it’s even more interesting to see reviews of games you translated. That way we actually know what you’re talking about. :p

I would prefer these types of games over NTR any day.

TakaJun…..look at what u did there……it’s all because you translate Wanko to Kurasou into english and look what happened to some monk that play that game………
November 11th, 2009 at 12:20 am 12
Actually, it may be interesting to review a game I’ve translated. I’ll consider it in the future.
“Sakurasakura”… I hear it has triangle relationship, which is driving me away. I hate that kind of stuff. How bad is it?

oh my goddess!
November 13th, 2009 at 3:47 pm 14
how about you guys add a review on majikoi, so we can see what kind of game you guys going to translate?
November 14th, 2009 at 4:40 am 15
>>12
The triangle relationship is one main focus of Sakura Sakura – primarily on the first ‘chapter’/playthrough/arc, whatever, than the others. It is, however, well implemented, and Maki Idzumi’s character (Nanako) is pretty much moe personified. The game has two protagonists – unfortunately, the protagonist you’re currently playing magically loses both their voice and their FACE, becoming, well, a generic faceless protagonist, even though they’re an interesting enough character the rest of the time.
Also, don’t you like the Triangle Heart games? Doesn’t the NAME of Triangle Heart come from the fact that.. never mind =P

just wondering is there a place to DL this and/or an english patch?(english patch would be awesome)
December 6th, 2009 at 9:45 pm 17
@ askin’:
There is no English patch available for this game, at least not yet. Nor do there appear to be any groups planning to make a patch, either.
And this is NOT a good place to ask for game downloads.
December 7th, 2009 at 4:28 am 18
where can i download a free full english version of this, of there arent any free downloads then where can i find the game disc? and is there and english version for the game disc?
December 12th, 2009 at 7:01 pm 19
Please do not talk about downloading games for free.
And no, there is no English patch/version of this game.
